BHARATPUR: CPN-UML senior leader and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal said that the obstruction caused to the peaceful programme organised by the party was an outcome of deficit political culture.

At a press conference organised here today by Press Chautary Nepal, Chitwan Chapter, leader Nepal said that Madhes based political parties should have a political culture.

In the programme, he claimed that the UML would emerge as the largest force from the third phase of local level polls in Province 2, which is slated for September 18.

The UML leader also said that the recent delineation of the electoral constituency was not appropriate. He accused the Constituency Delineation Commission (CDC) of working under political influence while delimiting the electoral constituencies.

Leader Nepal said, "The CDC should keep into consideration the population, geography, convenience, voters, proximity, access and ethnic diversity while demarcating constituencies but these aspects were overlooked in some cases."

In a different context, the leader Nepal said that his recent visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was to lend a hand in the process of keeping peace. He wished for the peace in North Korea and said that there was no point in criticising his visit.
