Politics is not means to make money: PM Oli
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed the Ministers of State in his cabinet to work with high morale, stating that comments and criticisms against the government would fade away with the government's good deeds.
After administering oath of office and secrecy to Ministers of State who were appointed a week ago Friday at the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Prime Minister Oli said good deeds always end with better results. The government has to work differently bearing in mind, the unusual situation facing the country, he said.
Post-earthquake reconstruction efforts could not take place on time due to fuel crisis and problems in transportation of reconstruction materials. Onwards, the government should focus on advancing the post disaster reconstruction efforts. "Fairness, transparency and honesty in work are the key to success," said PM. Further he remarked, "Politics is not the means of making money, rather is the medium of serving the people and country."
On the occasion, he directed the new Ministers of State to work guided by self-regulation, discipline and moral and to utilise their terms as an opportunity to contribute to the development of the country.
