The announcement of election by the government was only a ploy to extend the period of autocracy in the country, Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Ram Chandra Paudel, said. “The seven-party alliance will be more active in urging civilians to boycott the election,” Paudel said while speaking at an interaction programme organised by Sambad Nepal today in Pokhara, adding: “The anelection by an unconstitutional government is also unconstitutional, hence we have decided to boycott it.”
