Urges all sides to help maintain peace and constitutional order amid ongoing unrest

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 11

President Ramchandra Paudel has appealed to the public and political stakeholders to remain calm and assist in preserving peace and constitutional order as the country grapples with ongoing turmoil.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Paudel said he is engaged in "deliberations and every possible effort" to find a swift and constitutional solution to address the demands of the protestors.

"I assure everyone that efforts are underway to resolve the issues as quickly as possible. I urge all parties to exercise restraint and cooperate in maintaining peace and order," the President stated.

The appeal comes days following the nationwide protests led by Gen Z youth, with escalating violence prompting curfews and heightened security across multiple districts.
