President Bidhya Devi Bhandari worshipped at Muktinath temple in Mustang district on Saturday morning. President Bhandari received prasad from temple priest Krishna Prasad Subedi and nun Karpo.

According to the Office of President, Shital Niwas, the president flew from Kathmandu to Muktinath Temple 3,710 metres above sea level on Saturday morning in a Nepali Army helicopter.

She offered prayers in the major pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. The priest and nun as well as office-bearers of Muktinath temple, parliamentarian Prem Prasad Tulachan, CPN-UML leader Shree Maya Thakali, Chief District Officer of Mustang, Netra Prasad Sharma, people's representatives and the locals welcomed the president. The president is scheduled to visit Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve in Baglung on Saturday itself.
