Oli calls Modi to express condolence

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli telephoned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday evening to express his condolences on the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

In the telephone conversation, Oli condemned the attack, reiterating Nepal’s position of condemning terrorism in all forms and manifestations, according to Oli’s Press Adviser Kundan Aryal. The Government of Nepal also condemned the terrorist attack.

In a statement, the government said it extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims as well as the government and people of India, and wished speedy recovery of those injured. “In line with its principled position, Nepal unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and believes that such heinous acts of terrorism cannot be justified on any ground,” read the statement issued by the MoFA.
