Prime Minister Oli inspects storm-hit area

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inspected Pheta Rural Municipality, which was hit the hardest by the severe storm last night from a helicopter in Bara today.

Premier Oli inspected the worst-hit Purainiya area of Pheta Rural Municipality from a helicopter. Oli was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Upendra Yadav and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa in the NA chopper.

The chopper ferrying Oli had landed at Kalaiya-based Nepali Army camp after inspecting the storm-ravaged area. Minister for Physical Infrastructure Raghubir Mahaseth, Urban Development Minister Mohammad Istiyak Rai and chiefs of all three security organs had gathered at the NA camp.

Oli had inquired about the damage caused by the storm, and rescue and relief efforts being carried out. Bara CDO Rajesh Poudel had informed the prime Minister about storm, and devastation brought by it.

Oli visited Kalaiya Hospital and Birgunj-based National Medical College and inquired about the injured undergoing treatment. Oli directed that no stone should be left unturned for treatment of the injured.
