PM Oli revisiting Singapore for medical check-up
Kathmandu, August 18
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is revisiting Singapore on August 22 for medical check-up.
PM Oli, who returned from Singapore on August 12, after his health check-up, will be going back for medicine dose adjustment, said a source at the PM’s Secretariat. He underwent kidney transplant surgery 12 years ago and is on kidney enhancement drug therapy.
“Doctors in Singapore have given him new medicines for enhancing kidney function. The PM had headache, which could be a side effect of the medicine,” the source added. His health check-up was done at National University Hospital.
The PM neither held a press conference following his return from Singapore nor did the hospital issue any update on his health.
The PM had fallen ill a few days ago resulting in cancellation of his appointments and participation in some programmes, including the party’s Secretariat meeting.
PM Oli, who underwent kidney transplant in 2007 in New Delhi, has undergone routine health check-up in foreign capitals, including New Delhi.
