KATHMANDU, APRIL 3

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has initiated the construction of 165 roads across the country, on Saturday.

The Prime Minister virtually kick-started the construction of roads -- one in each of the 165 electoral constituencies -- through a programme organised at his official residence in Baluwatar.

The roads are being constructed at a total cost of Rs 57.1 billion and are expected to be completed in three years.

Prime Minister Oli, during the programme, urged all sides concerned to take the construction works forward and avoid delays.

Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Basanta Kumar Nembang, apprised those present of the various road infrastructure works being carried out in the country.

Also present in the programme were members of the House of Representatives and National Assembly, among others.
