Prithvi highway obstructed, rescue work challenging in Dhading

MALEKHU, DHADING: Traffic along the Prithvi Highway in Dhading has been obstructed due to landslides that occurred in Dhading due to torrential rainfall for the past few days.

According to Gajuri Area Police Inspector Barun Singh, one-way traffic has been operated along the Dhadingbesi-Kathmandu road.

Landslides have obstructed more than 20 places along the road section, said Singh.

Meanwhile, passengers of a jeep (Ba 13 Cha 7149) that was buried at Jawang of Jogimara due to landslide were safely rescued today.

The Deputy Chief District Officer Liladhar Adhikari shared that they were failing to reach the incident sites to provide relief support to 34 displaced families of Rubibhyali Rural Municipality  as landslides blocked routes on Friday.

Similarly, different road sections in northern part of the district have also been blocked due to landslides.
