The government has decided to promptly execute the probe commission's report on gold smuggling.

The decision was made during a meeting of the Council of Ministers today. It's noteworthy that the probe commission, tasked with preventing illegal gold imports, had submitted its report to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Rabi Lamichhane.

Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Rekha Sharma informed the media that the cabinet decided to immediately implement the report following its review.

Additionally, the meeting resolved to reassign the portfolios of two Additional Inspectors General of Police (AIG).

Minister Sharma stated that AIG Shyamlal Gyawali has been transferred from the police headquarters to the Central Investigation Bureau, while another AIG, Kiran Bajracharya, has been transferred from CIB to the police headquarters.
