SIRAHA, MAY 14

The meeting of District Covid-19 Crisis Management Centre (DCCMC) has decided to impose prohibitory order in Siraha district for three weeks starting Friday midnight.

The order restricts movement of private as well as public vehicles during the period. Similarly, weekly markets (haat bazaar), hotels and restaurants, parlours, salons, educational institutions, tuition centres will all remain closed.

Vehicles of emergency services such as health institutions, security, communications, electricity and drinking water will be permitted to move, Chief District Officer Pradeep Raj Kandel informed.

Fruits, vegetables, dairy, other food items, gas related markets will be open from 6:00 am till 9:00 am while businesses related to construction can be carried out starting 9:30 am till 5:00 pm, it is informed.

As many as 354 people have been infected by the Covid-19 in the district till date. At least 18 persons have died due to the contagion.
