TANAHUN: Property worth around Rs 180,000 including gold ornaments were stolen from a house at Nim Chok in Byas Municipality-10 of Tanahun district.

According to the District Police Office, unidentified persons broke into a room of Kopila Ranabhat's house and made off with Rs 12,000 in cash and ornaments made up of three tola gold, at around 2: 30 pm yesterday. The valuables were stashed away in a steel cupboard which was broken during the heist.

Police suspected that the thieves were local residents and familiar with the location of valuables.
