MANGALBARE, ILAM: Property worth over Rs 10 million was destroyed in a fire that broke out at a dairy industry in Suryodaya Municipality-6 this morning.

The fire broke at the Pathivara Dairy Industry owned by Khagendra Shivakoti and Arjun Shivakoti, destroying the dairy products as well as the machinery, at Harkate, at around 5:30 am today, according to the Harkate police station.

The fire was brought under control through joint efforts of locals, Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force with the help of a fire engine in the municipality.

The preliminary investigation points to an electrical short circuit as the cause of the blaze, said police.

It took two hours to douse the fire.
