Property worth Rs 2.5 million gutted in Jhapa fire
JHAPA : A fire engulfed a house and a shed in Bagedangi, Shaniarjun Municipality-3 of Jhapa on Thursday night.
According to the Area Police Office, Birtamod, the fire that broke out from the shed of of Mauladhan Rai turned property worth around Rs 2.5 million into ashes.
DSP Khadga Bahadur Khatry further informed that the fire also killed a cow and a calf tied inside the shed.
Locals with help from police and fire engine doused the inferno late night, police said.
