MAHOTTARI: An armed group on Tuesday night looted property worth Rs 2.5 million in Gaushala of Mahottari district.

The group of 20 persons looted the property from the house of Ganesh Mohan Sah of Gaushala Municipality-8, the victims said. Sah is also the owner of Uma Rice Mill.

Sah said that the burglars entered into the house after breaking a wall behind the house and stole various gold and silver ornaments, Rs 300,000 in cash and other valubale goods. The gang also opened two rounds of fire inside the house.

Police said that the group looted the property at the gun point after keeping Sah’s three-year-old son Krish Kumar in hostage.
