URLABARI: Property worth around Rs 2 million were destroyed in two different fire incidents that occurred in Morang district on Sunday night.

According to police, the fire gutted a mud house along with a poultry farm belonging to Shyam Paudel in Budhiganga Rural Municipality-7 destroying the property worth around Rs 1 million last night.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bishnu Hari Koirala, at the District Police Office, Morang.

Similarly, property worth Rs 1 million were gutted when a house belonging to Murali Saha in Dieniya of Sunbarshi Municipality-9 engulfed in flames last night.

The fire destroyed the garment shop and a tailoring shop inside the building .

The preliminary investigation points to an electric short-circuit as the cause of the blaze.

Police with the help of locals douse the fire.

Meanwhile, local police are investigating into the incidents.
