DAMAULI: Property worth Rs 370,000  was stolen from a house in Jamune of Tanahun district on Sunday.

According to the District Police Office, an unidentified gang had entered into an unattended house of Jamuna Adhikari in Kuleshwor of Jamune-7 in the district.

Police said the thieves had broken the padlock before decamping with Rs 14,000 in cash and other valuables including five gold rings, two traditional necklaces (tilaharis) and two other necklaces.

Meanwhile, police said they have intensified a search operation after the absconding thieves.
