DHANGADHI: Property worth around Rs five million was gutted after a plastic showroom engulfed in flames at the Traffic Chowk in Dhangadhi on Thursday night.

The property was gutted after 'Bhattarai Plastic Showroom' belonging to local Ramnath Bhattarai caught fire last night, according to the District Police Office (DPO), Kailali.

The stored plastic products were completely destroyed by the blaze in the two-storey building.

Police personnel and locals with the help of three fire engines doused the fire after one-and-a-half hours' effort.

The preliminary investigation points to the flame of fire crackers as the cause of the blaze, according to the Spokesperson at the DPO Bir Bahadur Budha Magar.
