GAUSHALA: Property worth around Rs 500,000 was stolen from the house of Devendra Shrestha at Jaleshwor Municipality-4 in Mahottari on Wednesday night.

According to the District Police Office, Mahottari, Rs 200,000 in cash, six tola gold ornaments, 30 tola silver ornaments were stolen from the three-storey unattended house of Shrestha.

Shrestha along with his family members had left for Manakamana in Gorkha district when the incident occurred.

The thieves barged into the house after breaking the padlock of the main gate.
