Property worth Rs 60m gutted in Rupandehi fire

KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs. 60 million has been destroyed in a fire induced by electrical short circuit in a beer factory at Mainihawa of Suddodhan Rural Muninipality- 4 in Rupandehi district on Thursday.

Talking to THT Online over phone,  DSP Bel Bahadur Pandey of the Rupandehi District Police Office said, the fire started while trying to fix a power fluctuation in the Tigers Breweries Industry Private Limited at around 9:30 this morning.

“Some parts of the factory and one lakh beer bottles were completely destroyed in the fire,” added DSP Pandey.

The inferno was content with the help of fire fighters and Armed Police Force personnel at around 11:00 am,” added Pandey.
