Prosperity to follow constitution implementation

Kavre, September 13

Minister for Information and Communications Mohan Bahadur Basnet today said that the country should head towards prosperity with effective implementation of the federal republican inclusive constitution.

Inaugurating Banepa festival organised by Banepa Boys’ Club in Kavre today, Minister Basnet said two phases of local level elections had been held in a bid to implement the present statute. “Those forces which didn’t contest the first and second round of local level elections have been preparing to contest election in the third round. This is a something to rejoice about as it will lead the country towards prosperity,” said Basnet.

He said the upcoming provincial and parliamentary elections would ensure political stability and sustainability in the country. “It is high time that we worked together to hold the provincial and parliamentary polls for the country’s prosperity by rising above partisan interests,” said Basnet.

He also said discussions were being held to set up the provincial capital of Province 3 in Kavre. He sought unity and solidarity among political leaders, people’s representatives and Kavre residents.

Meanwhile, State Minister of Industry Resham Lama highlighted the crucial role of young entrepreneurs in conserving the identity of the district. “Kavre is a district with immense potential of religious, cultural and tourism development. Everyone’s contribution is a must for proper development of these areas,” said Minister Lama.

Around 142 stalls have been set up at the festival venue for promotion of business at a time when Dashain is near.
