Protesters set 2 government offices on fire in Rajbiraj

RAJBIRAJ: Protesters in Rajbiraj on Monday set two government offices and a Nepali Congress office on fire.

A group affiliated to the agitating Madhesi parties has set ablaze the Rajbiraj-based Survey Branch Office.

The group of more than 200 agitators had set the office on fire in Rajbiraj-5.

A jeep (Ba 1 Jha 34 3409) parked on the premises of the office was completely gutted in the fire.

However, the prompt response from police and the firefighters had restricted the damage.

Likewise, the District Land Reform Office was also set on fire by the agitators. Office furniture and important documents were completely gutted in the arson attack.

Similarly, the Nepali Congress District Office was also set ablaze by the unknown group of protesters.

Police said the Office sustained minor damages.
