While the country was marking Constitution Day, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party organised protest programmes in Saptari and Rautahat to express its displeasure with the statute today.

By tying black bands on heads and waving black flags, LSP cadres and leaders hoisted black flags at various government offices and public places to protest the constitution in Saptari headquarters Rajbiraj. They also took out a motorcycle rally and shouted slogans against the statute. LSP cadres said that they would continue to protest the statute until it was amended.

Similarly, the ruling Janata Samajbadi Party also organised a protest rally against the constitution in Rajbiraj.

LSP staged a protest rally in Garuda Municipality, Rautahat as well. Tying black bands on their arms, LSP cadres and leaders shouted slogans against the constitution.

They took a round of Garuda Municipality and converged into a mass meeting later.

Madhesbadi youth leader Shreeman Mishra stressed the need to amend the constitution to accommodate the demands raised by the Madhesi people to make it acceptable to all.
