HETAUDA: Province 3 government is preparing to unveil a budget of around Rs 40 billion for the upcoming fiscal year 2018/19, on Friday, a state minister informed.

According to Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Kailash Dhungel, the government aims to collect Rs 24 billion in revenue in the next fiscal. Apart from revenue collection, the 40-billion-budget will be met through 16-billion-grant from central government.

The budget will prioritise good governance and economic prosperity as its principles and Kathmandu-Kulekhani Tunnel Highway and Panchkhal-Kathmandu Tunnel Highway will be kept under major projects.

“The province has huge potential in hydro energy and utilising water resources will trudge the country towards economic independence,” the minister said.
