CM Raut blames federal govt for lack of investment environment

Janakpurdham, August 7

Province 2 Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut today attributed the lack of investment-friendly ambience in the province to the absence of cooperation from the federal government.

Speaking at a programme organised in Janakpurdham, Raut alleged that non-cooperation from the central government had ruined the environment for investment in Province 2. “Province 2 government is ready to create investment-friendly environment, though,” Raut added.

Raut charged that reluctance on the part of the central government to come up with acts and laws had led to problems in the province. “The provincial government has taken initiative for industrial development, but apathy on the part of the central government had delayed industrial development,” he added.

Raut said that his government would give tax waiver for 20 years, provide land and guarantee electricity and security to the industries. Despite the declaration of many facilities, industries are yet to be established, Raut stated.

Raut accused the central government of trying to curtail the authority of the province on various pretexts.

Noting that many youths from his province were flying to foreign countries for employment, Raut claimed that his government had forwarded policies to train youths and provide them jobs at home.

Raut pledged to enact necessary laws, manage security and other physical facilities for potential investors in the province.

“We are working rapidly to create investment-friendly environment as the country’s development is not possible without development of the province,” CM Raut added.
