JANAKPURDHAM: A bill designed to recruit civil servants on contract-basis has been endorsed by today's state assembly meeting of Province-2.

Nepal Communist Party (NCP) lawmaker Sundar Bahadur Bishwakarma had registered an amendment proposal over the bill. The bill presented by Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut was approved with a majority.

Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal, Rastriya Janata Party Nepal and Nepali Congress had supported the bill while NCP (NCP) had voted against the bill.

On the occasion, CM Raut clarified that bill was passed to recruit employees for efficient service delivery. He added that in the absence of the employees, the budget implementation process failed to achieve progress.
