Province govt to work for local levels
Hetauda, May 24
Province 3 Chief Minister Dormani Poudel today said the provincial government was all set to work in tandem with the local bodies for their prosperity.
Inaugurating a school building at Suryodaya Secondary School in Makawanpur’s Raksirang Rural Municipality today, CM Poudel hailed federalism for making local bodies powerful but stressed the need for coordinated efforts of all three levels of government for the prosperity of a local body or a province.
Further, Poudel informed about the provincial government’s plan to introduce technical education at the Suryodaya school, build a 15-bed hospital in the rural municipality and construct a blacktopped road linking its centre, and called for help from all to implement these projects.
The four-room school building along with a four-room hotel was built at a cost of 7.69 million rupees by the Rotary Club of Hetauda with the assistance of Rotary Club of Australia, Tasmania. The school has a total of 850 students studying now.
The earthquake three years ago had destroyed the school building.
