PALPA: Member of the Provincial Assembly and CPN Maoist Centre politburo member Tularam Gharti has said that proper use shall be made of the natural resources available in the region.

Gharti said that the provincial assembly and the provincial government will draft necessary rules and regulations for proper utilization of natural resources, and plans will be made to operate mines with the investment of the people.

The limestone mines, which are abundant in Palpa of Province 5, will be operated in an organised way and will not be misutilised, Gharti added. He stressed the need for proper utilization of the limestone mines along with some iron mines present in the area.

Gharti also pledged to come up with a pro-poor programme to resolve the problem of unemployment by 50 per cent in the next five years.

He shared his plans of expanding road network across the province and his priority to increase road safety in Siddhababa of the province.

Regular and safe supply of power and drinking water will be other crucial areas that Gharti will be working for.

He expressed his intentions to focus on resolving the basic problems of the people in the region.
