KHOTANG: Two tractor drivers have been charged with public offence case for drink driving in Khotang district on Thursday.

The arrestees have been identified as Unik Magar (23) of Triyuga Municipality in Udyapur district and Devendra Tamang (23) of Dulari Municipality in Morang district.

Magar and Tamang were driving the tractors with the registration numbers (Na 4 Ta 9172) and (Ko 1 Ta 7421) respectively.

According to DSP Bidyananda Majhi at Khotang District Police Office, they were arrested while driving the tractor under the influence of alcohol and legal action has been sought against them.

He further said the charge sheet was filed against them to discourage the habit of driving vehicles under the influence of alcohol in the district.

Traffic police had arrested them and impounded their vehicle in a routine check in the district headquarters Diktel yesterday.
