SINDHULIMADI: District Administration Office, Sindhuli took action against six Tata Sumos for overcharging passengers along the BP Highway road section at Bhadrakali VDC in Sindhuli on Tuesday.

During a cross checking along the road section, police found that the vehicles were overcharging passengers.

The police returned a total amount of Rs 24,350 to 64 passengers travelling in the six vehicles. The vehicle operators said they had hiked the fare due to the fuel crisis.

DAO said the Tata Sumos were taken under control and action would be taken against drivers.
