Dahal unveils 34-point commitment paper

CPN-Maoist Centre Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal today unveiled a 34-point commitment paper under 11 headings for Chitwan’s development in the next five years.
Dahal is in fray for parliamentary election from Chitwan-3.
Dahal unveiled the commitment paper at a function in Bharatpur today evening. Prachanda Employment, Prachanda Residence Plan, Chitwan as an Industrial City, Prosperous Madi, Chitwan Agriculture Education and Chitwan as Main Centre of Agro Production, Prosperous and Developed Chitwan, Chitwan as a Tourism Hub and Chitwan as Medical Capital among other headings have been included in the paper.
Construction of three bridges over the Narayani River, metro or mono rail, managing a tunnel or overhead bridge to link the national park, employment for at least 50,000 people in five years, development of Chitwan as a one-metro city and management of modern residence for landless people etc are included in the ambitious commitment.
Likewise, upgrading of Meghauli Airport, upgrading of Bharatpur-Megahuli road section, three bridges over the Narayani River to connect with Nawalparasi, widening of embankment along the Narayani and Rapti rivers and development of ring roads are also in the list. Dahal claimed that employment for 50,000 people could be offered in industry, agriculture, tourism and transportation.
Under Prachanda Residence Plan, he claimed that landless families would be provided with multi-storeyed residence. It is said that a memorial park will be built in the memory of persons killed in the Badarmudhe bombing incident at Madi.
