KATHMANDU, MAY 10

General Secretary of the ruling Nepali Congress Gagan Kumar Thapa said that voters should ask CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli, who had won the mandate to rule the country for five years, and the reasons for dissolving the House of Representatives.

Addressing a poll campaign organised by his party in Kathmandu, Thapa said, " If Oli dissolved the HoR due to wrangling in the then Nepal Communist Party (NCP), he must apologise to the people."

Thapa said that although Oli criticised the current government terming it a court installed government, three influential leaders of his own party - Surendra Pandey, Yogesh Bhattarai and Gokarna Bista - had signed the mandamus writ petition that the lawmakers of the dissolved HoR had filed at the Supreme Court.

He said the UML Chair had flayed the coalition politics particularly the ruling coalition but he himself was forging alliance with regressive forces in the country.
