BHIMDUTTANAGAR: The regular service of Prabhu FM based at Jhalari in Kanchanpur district has been disrupted after a lightning destroyed the transmitter of the radio station.

Likewise, two computers of Pahichan Khabar Daily, a local paper being published from Jhalari, were damaged from the lightning, Arjun Singh, a journalist of the newspaper said.

Similarly, electricity service in various parts of the district has also been affected, it has been learned.

Meanwhile, the hailstone coupled with rainfall occurred in the area has caused massive damages to crops including vegetables, mustard plants, wheat and musuro pulse, Senior Agricultural Development Officer of Kanchanpur Tikaram Thapa said.
