KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 26

Raj Kumar Chhetri has assumed office of the Director-General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal on Tuesday.

The cabinet meeting held on Monday elevated Chhetri to the post of the aviation authority chief at the recommendation of Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Prem Ale.

Before being appointed to the top job at the civil aviation regulatory body, he served as the acting DG at the authority.

As one of CAAN's senior officials, Chhetri formerly served as General Manager at the Tribhuvan International Airport, the country's only international airport.
