Rajbiraj airport to resume regular flights

Shree Airlines is all set to operate regular Kathmandu-Rajbiraj flights from June 24.
Spokesperson for the airlines Anil Manandhar said Shree Airlines would operate flights five days a week. One-way fare from Rajbiraj to Kathmandu will be from minimum Rs 3,500 to maximum Rs 6,200.
Spokesperson Manandhar added that Shree Airlines wouldn’t operate flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays as there would be less number of passengers on these days. The airlines will operate flights using a 50-seater aircraft.
He said regular flights would provide great relief to domestic and Indian pilgrims who want to visit Pashupatinath temple.
Rajbiraj Airport was repaired and upgraded at the cost of Rs 303 million. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, the then transport minister Ganeshman Singh had laid the foundation stone of the airport 59 years ago.
