Rajbiraj hospital starts dialysis service

Rabiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital has started dialysis service.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Upendra Yadav inaugurated the dialysis service amid a programme today. As many as four dialysis machines have been installed at the hospital at the cost of Rs 10 million. Three kidney patients were treated on the first day.

Inaugurating the dialysis service, DPM Yadav said the zonal hospital would be upgraded soon and patients need not be referred to other health facility for treatment. He urged health workers to create an environment in which they could work independently. He pledged to add more facilities in the health facility.

“A budget of Rs 760 million has been allocated for the up-gradation of the hospital. Doctors and specialists will arrive in a week,” Yadav added.
