KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 2
Rajendra Rai has been appointed as the Chief Minister of Province 1, on Tuesday.
Province Chief Som Nath Adhikari appointed Communist Party of Nepal (United Socialist) leader Rai as per Article 168(2) of the constitution of Nepal.
The post for the CM was vacant after the resignation of Bhim Acharya on Monday. Following which Provincial head Adhikari had called for the claim to the post to be submitted by 1:00 pm today.
Rai is scheduled to take the oath of office and secrecy today itself.
