District office chiefs yet to report to work

Around three dozen chiefs of the government offices are yet to return to their duty in Ramechhap. Absence of the heads at the government offices has hit the service seekers very hard.
All government services have been halted due to absence of the chiefs at the government offices. A service seeker complained that as the heads of the government offices didn’t return to their duty after Dashain holidays, service seekers were adversely affected.
The government office chiefs yet to report to their duty include LDO Rajendra Kumar KC, District Health Ofifce Chief Dr Prakash Prasad Sah, District Forest office Chief Ram Bichari Thakur, Ramechhap Municipality Executive Chief Ishwori Raj Dahal, among others.
Chiefs of the six rural municipalities and Area Administration Lapchane Chief have not reported to their duty either till Friday. At most of the government offices, acting responsibility has been delegated to one person each. Journalist Sumit Shrestha said that service seekers had to return empty-handed and disappointed due to the absence of office chiefs.
Ramechhap Chief District Office Dilip Lamichhane admitted that he had got the information that most of the government office chiefs were absent till Friday. CDO Lamichhane pledged to punish the office chief if he/she failed to report to his/her duty by 10 am on Sunday morning.
