Rana to hand over RPP chair to Chand on December 26

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Pushupati Shamsher Rana has called the meeting of the party's Central Committee on December 26.

The meeting has been called to hand over the RPP's chairmanship to Lokendra Bahadur Chand as per the November 20 agreement, according to a statement issued by the party's central office on Tuesday.

As per the agreement, the former Prime Minister, Chand, would hand over the party reign to Rana after the completion of his tenure, while Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani would get to chair the party after Rana to hold the party’s election for new leadership.

The party has 12 seats in the Parliament.
