The Cabinet meeting of Karnali Province has decided to observe the upcoming Nepali year as Rara-Karnali Visit Year-2075.

The meeting held yesterday also formed sub-committees with the aim of entering more than one-and-a-half lakh tourists in the main tourist destination Rara in the Nepali New Year 2075 BS.

The first meeting of the cabinet earlier had also decided to introduce Karnali Province as a tourist destination with the beginning of the New Year. The provincial government is also preparing to inaugurate Rara Festival on Baisakh 1 — The Nepali New Year.

A 15-member main organising committee, including ministers, chief secretaries and sectaries has been formed under the coordination of Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi to make the festival a grand success.

Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative Bimala KC said the finance management, residence, security, transportation and communications, among other sub-committees led by ministers were been formed.

The political committee led by minister for Finance Affairs and Planning Prakash Jawala was also formed. Bimal KC and Khadga Khatri are its members. Similarly, Internal Affair and Law Minister Naresh Bhandari-led administration committee was also formed with Dal Rawal and Nanda Singh Budha as members.

Finance, Social and Infrastructure committee led by Minister for Social Development Dal Rawal was formed. Khadga Khatri and Naresh Bhandari are its members. Minister KC said the meeting had also decided to seek donation worth two days of labour on the first and 15th of every month from people.

The Cabinet has also passed Financial Work Procedure Bill 2018 of the Province.
