RJN presses for action against NOC for manipulation of state coffer
KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Janamorcha Nepal (RJN) has slammed the government's irresponsibility in relation to economic irregularity seen in Nepal Oil Corporation's latest land purchase scandal.
RJN Chairman Sadhya Bahadur Bhandari presented a memorandum on Friday at the Supply Ministry citing extensive manipulation of the state coffer while purchasing land properties in Jhapa, Sarlahi, Chitwan and Rupandehi for construction of oil storage depots.
The party has termed the ministry's silence in the backdrop of instruction from the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) for legal action on basis of proof of extensive economic irregularities as 'irresponsible'.
