RPP to support left alliance in Dhankuta
DHANKUTA: Rastriya Prajatantra Party is all set to support the left alliance in Dhankuta.
The party’s decision to this effect was made public at a press conference here today, when party cadres were told to support left alliance candidates in the upcoming parliamentary and provincial elections in the district.
“As the left alliance has supported our party general secretary and parliamentary candidate Rajendra Lingden in Jhapa-3, we hope to pay back the support by backing left alliance candidates in Dhankuta,” said RPP district chairperson Balanand Bhurtel. A statement was jointly signed to this effect by CPN-UML district vice-chairperson Durga Linkha and CPN-MC central member Tilak Prasad Rai and Bhurtel today.
RPP provincial ‘ka’ candidate Chakra Bahadur Budhathoki himself has called on party cadres and supporters to vote for left alliance candidates. “Legally speaking, I am also an election candidate from here, but as I myself am canvassing for the left alliance, I urge our supporters as well to vote for the alliance,” he said.
