KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) today warned of a nation-wide agitation if the government did not withdraw its decision to deploy journalists as informers. An emergency meeting of FNJ held in the capital opposing the government’s move to deploy journalists as informants to help implement the special security plan. FNJ has said that the decision was against the norms and ethics of journalism, a press statement issued here today by Posan KC, general secretary, FNJ said. “FNJ opposes the decision to appoint journalists as informers.
