RASUWA: Rasuwa Customs Office in Timure has doubled the revenue collection in the outgoing fiscal year compared to the previous fiscal.

Revenue collection from the border point with neighbouring China increased by 126 per cent this year (2017/18) as compared to the previous year, reaching Rs 4.59 billion. Collection in the fiscal year 2016/17 was Rs 2.42 billion, according to Chief Customs Officer Gopal Koirala.

Ready-made garment, electronic goods and footwear topped the list of imports from China this year with wheat flour, noodles and biscuits being exported from Nepal to the northern neighbour.
