Rautahat school to teach in English for retaining students
Rautahat, June 28
As more people choose private schools in a bid to provide quality education to their children, a community school in Durga Bhagawati Rural Municipality has adopted English medium of instruction hoping to win the trust of parents and guardians.
Saraswoti Secondary School of Rautahat has started running classes in English medium from today at the initiative of the rural municipality.
“At a time when the trust in community school has declined, we hope that the English medium of instruction will help retain existing students and probably the school will attract more students in the days to come,” said the municipality Chair Arun Kumar Sah.
“As of now, the school has made it mandatory to use English as the medium of instruction in Grade VIII and IX as a pilot project. We are managing the cost to run these classes,” said Sah.
