Rebels revoke Kaski DDC’s decision
Kaski, August 10:
The Maoist’s Joint Revolutionary People’s Council yesterday revoked the decision made by the District Development Committee (DDC) Kaski to award a tender for sand-mining from the Yamdi river to four contractors, chief of the council, Bishnu Hari Poudel, said.
Mining has come to a halt after the Maoist move. The DDC had awarded the contract to us - Ram Chandra Thapa, Bishwo Bandhu Thapa, Narayan Koirala and Ashok Poudel on July 7 - after we agreed to pay the DDC Rs 13, 41,000 every year, said Ram Chandra Thapa.
