The kin of Rita Thapa, who was found hanging along with her son from the ceiling of their room three weeks ago, have demanded fair investigation into the incident at Majhpata of Kyamin in Tanahun, today.

As the Thapa mother-son duo was found hanging in mysterious circumstances on April 26, their kin demanded speedy and fair investigation into the incident and stern action against the guilty.

Baburam Pandey, father of the deceased Thapa, said that the death of his daughter and grandson was a great mystery. “It can’t be a suicide, it might be a murder,” said the victim’s mother Chija Maya Pandey at a press meet organised in Damauli today.

Bal Bahadur Pandey, coordinator of the Struggle Committee, said that their protest would continue until a fair probe was carried out.
