KATHMANDU: Of the 136 local levels in Province 2 local level elections, results of 109 local levels have been announced, said the Election Commission.

According to the latest election results updates provided by the Joint Election Operation Centre, under the Election Commission, so far the Nepali Congress has won the mayoral post in 33 local levels, Federal Socialist Forum in 20 local levels and CPN Maoist Centre in 19 levels.

Similarly, the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal has secured its positions in 18 levels, CPN-UML in 13, Nepal Democratic Forum in three and Nepali Janata Dal in two levels.

The Naya Shakti Nepal has opened its account in one level.

According to EC Spokesperson Nawaraj Dhakal, final results of 1,105 wards have been received so far.

Now, results of 25 levels and 166 wards are awaited.
