KATHMANDU, JUNE 21

With the introduction of odd-even system based vehicular movement corresponding to the authorities' decision to further relax ongoing Covid-19 lockdown, ride-sharing services are set to resume operations from Tuesday.

In the same regard, two popular ride-sharing portals -- Tootle and Pathao -- are making preparations to restart their services in the Kathmandu valley after a long halt.

Their operations had been suspended following the imposition of pandemic prohibitory orders first issues on April 29.

The services are set to resume in compliance with Covid-19 safety regulations including compulsory mask usage for driver and passengers, adhering to social distancing norms, sanitisation, among others.

On Sunday, the District Administration Offices of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur had decided to extend the ongoing prohibitory period while introducing relaxations for operations of vehicles as well as specified businesses.

The new changes are set to come into effect from Tuesday morning.
